Pre-Convention Tour

ACGA 2025 Convention

July 16-19, 2025

A pre-convention tour is available on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, for early arrivals to St. Louis. Visits will be to the Missouri Wine District near Hermann, Missouri. We are limited to the number of people for the tour, so sign up early. The cost per person is $65 and includes transportation.

Tucked away in the Missouri River Valley, Hermann is a picturesque town where German style architecture and rolling vineyards welcome you to Missouri Wine Country.

Hermann was settled in 1837 by a group of Germans who moved West from Philadelphia in search of a place where they could keep their German culture alive and they found their new home in this region. Come see what farm life was like in the mid to late 1800s for residents around Hermann during our private Tram tour of the Hermann Farm. Hermann Farm endured an extensive and historically accurate restoration to engage and educate the public regarding the significance of Missouri’s cultural, agricultural and wine making heritage. The end of the tour will also include a tasting at the Hermann Farm Distillery.

After lunch join us for a cellar tour and wine tasting at the Stone Hill Winery, one of the first wineries in-town and one that won the first of 8 World’s Fair gold medals in Viennamin 1873. By the turn of the century Stone Hill was thriving as the second largest winery in the country until Prohibition changed things.

You may sign up for the tour at the same time you make your convention reservation at the ACGA page at Eventbee or through the Spring Mailer Registration form.
