Gifts and Acquisitions Fund

Your donation to this fund will enable the ACGA to acquire museum quality pieces of cut glass to enhance our Collection and the MSC Forsyth Center Galleries.  Building the monetary resources to be used exclusively for the acquisition of these pieces will permit us to be in a position to acquire them,  whenever they might become available.

These acquisitions, in addition to various other types of glass for educational display, will enhance the ACGA Collection in such a way that it truly advances the knowledge and appreciation of this American art form.  The Collection will then be on display at the Galleries with portions to be placed in a traveling exhibit that will enable viewing by many in different geographic areas.

The first highly successful traveling exhibit was held in the spring and summer of 2003 at the Brunnier Gallery of Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa.  This was followed by a second exhibit in 2004 at the historic Cupples House Museum in St. Louis, MO.  Future traveling exhibits are currently in the planning stages.  Non- monetary gifts to the ACGA are also accepted on a pre-approval basis.

For additional information regarding donating a non-monetary gift, contact Jan Jerome, and Roger Rasmussen, Co-Chairs of the Gifts and Acquisitions Committee. Their contact information is in the ACGA directory.
