Cut-to-Clear Coffee Cups

Poppy-to-clear & Chartreuse-to-clear Coffee Cups. Left:  Cup-3” top diameter x 1 7/8” tall. Saucer-4 5/8” diameter x I” tall. This cup and saucer in chartreuse is cut in 16 point hobstars alternating with bow-ties of cross-hatching, fans and 8 point hobstars. Right: Cup-3¼” top diameter x 1 7/8” tall. Saucer-4½” diameter. Attributable to Dorflinger. This color is identified as poppy color from a piece in the Everhart Museum in Scranton, PA. It is cut in vesicas of cross-cut diamond and tiny pyramidal stars separated by fans. A single star is cut in the bottom of the cup and of the saucer.
