2009 ACGA Convention

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter will proudly host the annual ACGA Convention July 24-26, 2009 at the Sheraton Premiere Hotel at Tysons Corner in Vienna, Virginia. The theme of the 2009 Convention will be “Virginia Brilliance” and will include salutes to wines and stemware. Tysons Corner is a lovely area just minutes outside Washington, DC with many restaurants, shops, and attractions in close proximity to the hotel. Mark your calendars and plan ahead for this exciting convention!

The Washington DC area is accessible via three major airports:

  • Dulles International (IAD) – Approximately 12 miles/20 minutes from the hotel
  • Washington National (DCA) – Approximately 17 miles/30 minutes from the hotel
  • Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) – Approximately 47 miles/1 hour from the hotel

The Sheraton Premiere will grant a room rate of $109/night to convention attendees for the nights of July 22-27, 2009. Please make reservations no later than June 29, 2009 and ask for the 2009 ACGA Convention rate. Saturday, July 25th General Session 9 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.

Collectors Night 7:30 – 9 p.m.

Sunday, July 26th General Session 9 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
Dealer Show 2 – 6 p.m.
Closing Banquet 6 – 9:30 p.m.

Putting out a CALL for all Collectors wanting to do the Collectors Show at the VA convention which will be Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. It will be on a first come first serve basis. The 6 ft. tables will remain at the usual $40. Please send your table reservation along with a check made out to ACGA in the amount of $40. to :

Thursday evening tour of
WASHINGTON D.C. MONUMENTS
July 23, 2009

 Come enjoy the best Washington DC night tour available!  See our national monuments and federal buildings flooded in lights. The cost for the tour is $35.00 per person and will have the following itinerary:
 

Ø   6:30 PM – Start gathering in the hotel lobby
Ø   7:00 PM – Buses will depart the hotel
Ø   11:00 PM – Arrive back at the Sheraton Premiere

 -             All New Air Conditioned Buses
-             Restroom Facility on each Bus
-             50 Seats per bus
-             Professional Tour Guide on each bus
-             Plan to stop and visit a few of the memorials
-             Anyone who does not wish to get off the bus may stay on board
