Go to the Horse Races at the Del Mar Race Track, 10 miles north on the ocean.  Races run Wed. through Sun. starting at 2:00 pm, often followed by concerts, is SOOO much fun!  Every Wed. Diamond Club (free to join) members receive FREE Stretch Run Admission, FREE Program, FREE Seat & HALF PRICE Beer, Sodas & Hot Dogs. The USS Midway Museum is an unforgettable adventure for the entire family. Go to sea without leaving port!  Explore more than 60 exhibits with a collection of 27 restored aircraft. Located downtown at the Embarcadero.  General Admission is $18 adults, $15 seniors (62+) $10 retired military (with valid ID) www.midway.org

Where the Locals Eat

Have a KILLER Hamburger at Hodad’s.  Located in Ocean Beach at 5010 Newport Ave. (where there are numerous “sort of” Antique shops) and downtown at 945 Broadway – close to the Midway.  Their slogan is
“No Shirt – No Shoes – No Problem” ... (Hey, they’re by the beach, it’s appropriate) ...
