The
Blackhawk Chapter has approximately 40 members covering
Four
meetings are held each year, two in the fall and two in the spring with an
informal get-together at convention. Meeting
dates vary in order to accommodate the largest number of members. Meetings
usually consist of lunch and an educational program. As most meetings are held in member homes with occasional meetings held
at a location having special interest and available luncheon facilities, members
most often provide the programs with talks regarding various aspects of
collecting and identification. Annual
dues are $10 per member.
There is a
wide range of interests and collections within the group. Both the novice and the advanced collector find that they are continually
learning through the chapter. It is
a great way to talk to people and see first hand about a specific type of
cutting, company, or designs that other individual members have detailed
knowledge of.
The ACGA has
over a dozen national committees that work on Catalogs, Marketing, Ethics &
Authenticity, Endowment Fund, and Long Range Planning just to name a few. The local chapter is a great way to stay abreast of all the details of
what is going on at the national level.
