American Cut Glass Association
River Cities Chapter
The River Cities Chapter began in 1983 and covers Missouri, Tennessee, Arkansas and Illinois: anything along the Mississippi River. Currently, there are around 50 members in the chapter. The chapter meets 4 times a year, including at the annual convention. The chapter host’s informative talks at the Woody Auctions in St. Louis. A very active chapter, we’re also proud to have hosted ACGA national conventions in St. Louis and Memphis.
Our Chapter provides several functions. One is to help collectors of American Cut Glass learn how to identify American Brilliant Period Cut Glass. Our group also provides a platform to discuss and review information relevant to cut glass pieces. Most importantly our chapter provides a social opportunity to meet people who want to know more about this unique American Era and enjoy each other’s fascination with collecting American Brilliant Cut Glass. River Cities selects their meeting sites to ensure that all members in this large geographic area have an opportunity to attend a meeting close to their home. Members are encouraged to host a chapter meeting at their own home. This allows members a chance to share their collection with others.
Current Chapter Officers are:
President – Bob Harrington
Vice President – open
Secretary – Kay Wilson
We are presently putting together a Scrap Book with a page for each member to place personal information regarding their interest in American Brilliant Cut Glass. We hope to add a page for you.
Annual dues are $10 per person. For more information on the River Cities Chapter please contact Bob Harrington through contact information in the Membership Directory.
