American Cut Glass Association
The Eastern Lakes Chapter
The Eastern Lakes Chapter was formed in 1983 and covers the area bordered by Lakes Erie, Ontario, and Champlain including the New York Finger Lakes Region and the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania. There are currently 37 members. We are fortunate to include among our members ABP cut glass dealers and collectors, museum curators and docents, historians, glass engravers, and descendents of glass workers.
We hold meetings quarterly at members’ homes and museums. Our meetings are always fun and informative. We share with each other our knowledge and interest in all forms of glass, most especially cut and engraved glass of the brilliant period. We encourage members to bring pieces for show and tell or exchange.
We find within our geographic area two outstanding centers for the study of glass – the Corning Museum of Glass in Corning, NY and the Dorflinger Museum in White Mills, PA. We welcome any members of ACGA to join our chapter.
